What is Digital Speed?

Digital Speed is a London-based design & technology agency that ships modern web platforms and complex software to global organisations in finance, automotive and sporting regulators. We move fast, plan in sprints, and hold ourselves (and our clients) to clear outcomes.

The Role

You'll be the engine in the middle: breaking down work into clear bitesize tickets, keeping developers accountable to delivery, and partnering with our Head of Delivery to keep momentum high across multiple client products.

What you'll do

  • Turn complex technical requirements into tickets: Decompose epics into actionable user stories and tasks with acceptance criteria, estimates, and dependencies.
  • Own the board: Prioritise and groom backlogs, maintain sprint scopes, and keep Jira (and Productive) obsessively up to date.
  • Drive delivery discipline: Run stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retros; enforce DoR/DoD; unblock engineers quickly.
  • Hold the line on quality: Align on tech approaches, coordinate PR reviews, QA/test plans, and manage releases through CI/CD.
  • Make metrics matter: Track velocity, burndown, cycle time, defect rates; forecast realistically and call risk early.
  • Partner with Head of Delivery and Commercial Director: Co-own timelines, resourcing, and comms; ensure the team hits dates without scope-creep drift.
  • Close the loop with users: Translate feedback/analytics into roadmap updates; protect outcomes over output.
  • Keep people accountable: Set clear owners and deadlines; follow up firmly, escalate smartly, and land the work.
  • Be client-credible: Run demos, explain trade-offs, and negotiate scope without losing technical truth.

What you'll bring

  • 3–6+ years in technical product management or delivery management within modern web/app/AI projects.
  • A commanding leadership style, you motivate by clarity and consistency, not pressure or noise.
  • Proven skill writing excellent tickets (user story + AC), mapping dependencies, and slicing work for fast throughput.
  • Strong grasp of web stacks (APIs, databases, cloud, front-end frameworks), CI/CD, and release management.
  • Comfortable reading PRs, discussing architecture at a high level, and collaborating closely with engineers.
  • Confident facilitator with crisp written comms and a calm, "no-surprises" delivery style.

Nice to have

  • Experience in startups/scaleups or agencies shipping multiple products in parallel.
  • Exposure to automotive, and fin-tech products.
  • Familiarity with Jira/Linear, GitHub, feature flags, observability (logs/metrics), and incident comms.
  • Background in automotive, booking, dashboards, or AI products.
  • Computer Science Degree
